Volunteer and Internship Positions
- Community Outreach Position
- Assist with distributing various information relevant to immigrant/refugee population including, citizenship, promotion, laws and political issues that affect immigrants, community resources and events etc.
- Assist with coordinating workshops and tabling at various events
- Sponsor a woman/a girl from immigrant community
- Client Assistance Position
- Provide one-on-one or group assistance with: balancing checkbooks, handling bills, life skills, direct services, ELL classes, computer training, tutoring
- Employment assistance: assistance with filling job applications, creating
resumes and cover letters, job readiness skills, assisting with interview
tips (role-playing), etc.
- Administrative Assistance Position
- Bookkeeping/Accounting
- Answering phone calls, correspondence, networking
- Assist Resource Bank Manager with compiling computerized resource database, navigation and connection
- Assist with needs assessment survey
- Assist with maintaining ISAW’s Special Consultative relationship with the United Nations Head Quarters
